Mini – Slide Drying Hotplate

The Mini Hotplate has a very small footprint, making it ideal for use at the microtome. It is predominantly used to remove stubborn wrinkles from tissue sections and re-orientating embedded tissue. It may also be used in microbiology for heat fixing bacterial smears.

The hotplate features a matt black heated surface to provide a visual contrast for paraffin tissue sections, and reaches temperatures of up to 75ºC. The body of the Mini Hotplate is coated with an anti-microbial paint finish which inhibits growth of bacteria and viruses.
